Seaford Rock Utd. v VEC FC

It only took Tom Wrynne five minutes to put us ahead. Then, his 2nd goal on the hour mark was followed by a Joey Byrne goal five minutes later (pic.) to give us a comfortable 3-0 lead. But with just 10 minutes remaining, the home team clawed one back, followed by a second in the 88th minute! However, despite them hitting the bar five minutes into added time, it ended 3-2 and we are now due to play Galty Celtic (AUL Div. 1) in Brickfields Astro in the next round on Fri. 13th or Sat. 14th October: but with Rep. of Ireland playing on Fri. 13th, it can’t be that day now!

St. Patrick’s CYFC v VEC FC

After conceding goals in the 6th and 20th minutes, we re-grouped in the second half and created a number of chances, but none of them found the back of the net. Then with just 10 minutes remaining, we got caught on the break as the home team scored their 3rd, against the run of play, before they were reduced to 9 players for indiscipline, to put it mildly! Larkview FC v VEC FC 2nds

A goal with virtually the last kick of the first-half and a goal with virtually the last kick of the second-half featured in this game! VEC opened the scoring through Paddy Cook to give us a 1-0 lead going into the break. Larkview equalised in the 55th minute, but 15 minutes later, a lovely strike from Richie Rye (pic.) restored our lead. Then that killer equaliser from the home team as the game finished 2-2.
