VEC Leave it Late!

This was Jay Hester’s (9) 85th minute goal that cancelled our Lourdes Celtic’s 67th minute freak – but extraordinary – goal to gain VEC a share of the points in their Premier Division clash in Sundrive Park.

VEC had plenty of chances to win the match and make it 8 league wins out of 8, but alas, it was not to be and it finished 1-1. Some chances here.

2 Good Wins for VEC

VEC 2nds came from 1-3 behind after just 30 minutes to record a remarkable 7-3 victory over Fairview Celtic in this Division 2A clash in Terenure. Two goals a-piece from Colm McSharry and Conor Daly and one each from Ronan Murphy, Ronan Corbett and Conor Callaghan ensured that VEC 2nds secured all three points. pics.

Nolan with Crucial Goal

Here is Jack Nolan scoring the only goal of the game on the hour mark, as VEC made it 6 out of 6 in the Premier Division with a deserved win against Malahide Utd. in Gannon Park.

It wasn’t the best pitch or the best weather conditions (strong winds on the coast), but everyone from VEC dug in with great work-rate, effort and determination and got their just rewards. More pics.
