When you analyse this game, how we lost is perplexing and frustrating! We had numerous chances to score, but failed due to poor execution and bad luck! And, of course Coolock took one of their two real chances in the game, with a sweet strike from Dermot Blaine in the 32nd minute.

It was always going to be an up-hill battle, after Blackforge – aided by a strong breeze – scored 3 goals in the first 20 minutes, and then added a fourth 10 minutes before half-time! Although we scored two through Shane O’Connor and Paddy Cook, to their one, in the 2nd half, it was too much to ask and we sadly exited the MMI Cup.
