VEC FC beat Harding IF 3-1 in the Semi-Final of the O'Neill's Challenge Cup in the AUL Complex on Monday and will now meet Drumcondra AFC in the Final on Saturday 25th May 2019.

Mick Kinsella's fine headed goal from an Anthony Dunne corner kick gave VEC the lead after 18 minutes.
Then in the 28th minute, a brave header by Aidan Hyland following a great cross from Tom Wrynne put VEC 2 up.

Harding IF pulled one back in the 43rd minute, but Sam Jackson put the result beyond doubt in added time with a fine solo effort to give VEC a deserved 3-1 victory.

May 2019: Shield Final Beckons for VEC!

Well the Referee somehow disallowed this goal from Seamus Staunton against Liberties FC in Brickfields on Saturday.

But in the 30th minute of this Premier Division Shield game, Seamus made no mistake with this wonderfully executed free kick to give VEC FC a 1-0 lead.

Although the home side equalised in the 42nd minute, Sam Jackson restored VEC's lead in the 63rd minute.


April 2019: VEC Go Top of Premier Division!

Following a great cross from Gavin Murphy, Conall O'Shaughnessy opened the scoring for VEC in the 38th minute against current Premier Division Champions Harding IF in Terenure on Wednesday. Then in the 75th minute Pat Meghen turned into Marco Van Basten (momentarily) to seal a deserved 2-0 win for VEC with a wonder strike after brilliant work by Mick Kinsella.
